Superlative
Oh I’ve been terribly busy for the past 10 days or so — didn’t even get time for my latest fad — blogging!! This is most annoying.
A thought suddenly struck me — I use too many superlatives in my expression! And what the heck, I said ‘too many’ — superlative again!
Well, why I am like this, I asked myself. Is it good or bad? What kind of a persona do I reflect by way of such expression? Is that the real me? Basically, am I an extremist of sorts?
So I pondered. In retrospect, I do not remember any ‘extreme’, or rash decisions that I have taken in the past. Alright I am impulsive, quite a bit at that. But I do not have any ‘extreme’ likes and dislikes. I mean, really!
What makes me shower superlatives, so benevolently in my communication? Should I make an optimistic answer, then I’d believe that I have an optimistic attitude in life… Makes sense? Don’t know…
Whoa, whoa, whoa, WHOA! Oh it’s an email — ‘urgent attention required’! Shit, I need to return back to work most urgently.
Superlative again… Huh!
