Bangalore has no dearth of skilled labor, Duh!
Picture this. A ‘Worldspace‘ technician comes to your house to re-install your radio. He does not clip the cable he pulls in because that is an “electrician’s job”. He does not even know how to switch on the music system attached because it is “your music station”.
Another one. An electrician needs 3 hrs to fix a tube light after charging you Rs 300 to replace possibly everything you can in a tube. Only to realize later that the problem was with the switch and not the tube!
An LG mechanic serviced and repaired our washing machine over a period of 7 days. Modular approach to repair. Yeah right!
